The MacBook Pro has long been Apple's flagship laptop, offering power, portability and use of use, all in one sleek bundle. The M1 Pro and M1 Max chips are Apple's effort to ensure it stays cutting edge and if you're a coder or someone who needs a real workhouse, they're fantastic machines.

Whether you go for the M2 or M1 laptops depends on how much power you actually need. We reviewed the MacBook Pro 16 inch M1 shortly after it came out and were extremely impressed, describing as a programming powerhouse. It all comes down to how much you want to spend on your laptop and to what extent you want to future-proof it.

The M1 is a more powerful chip but, correspondingly, the M1 MacBooks are pricier. If you're after general coding and programming the M2 still shouldn't let you down. All of these displays are suitably sharp, though the M1, with its Pro Display XDR (compared to the M2's Retina display) has a noticeable edge.

Whatever you choose, we'd advise you snap one of these up right now. With Black Friday over and Cyber Monday right here, these deals could be gone any minute. As a sweetener, these come with 3 free months of Apple TV, 3 free months of Apple Cloud and 4 free months of Apple Music.
